Rose Mellor - Accompanist
Rose Mellor is a devoted pianist, vocalist, and music educator based in Edmonton, Alberta, whose greatest joy is bringing music to life and helping others find their own musical voice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Minor in History from the University of Alberta and has completed Royal Conservatory of Music Piano Levels 1–10, along with advanced studies in Harmony and History. Rose shares her love of music through teaching Piano and Voice lessons from her home studio, mentoring young artists, and collaborating with musicians and venues across Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park, including The Winspear Centre, The Arden Theatre, and local music festivals. Accompaniment is at the heart of her artistry, and she thrives in supporting singers, choirs, and ensembles—including her current work with Lyrico’s Junior and Senior Choirs—to shine in every performance. As Music Director at Braeside Presbyterian Church, Rose coordinates events, accompanies choirs and guest performers, and fosters a welcoming space for musical growth. She has also designed and led engaging music programs for Camp Kannawin, inspiring campers and nurturing creativity through every note. Recognized with the Vera Gottschlich Scholarship from Victoria School of the Arts, Rose combines dedication, discipline, and passion in all she does. When she’s not performing, teaching, or exploring new repertoire, she loves getting lost in a good book or taking her energetic Borador on long walks and hikes, always finding joy and inspiration in the world around her.
