Choir Fees and Payment Options

We know that every family has different financial circumstances, which is why Lyrico offers a variety of payment options to make participation as accessible as possible.

On this page, you'll find everything you need to know about fees, payment schedules, refund policies, and financial assistance, along with details about what's included in your annual registration fee. Junior Choir Annual Fee: $500 | Senior Choir Annual Fee: $550

Your annual registration fees supports far more than weekly rehearsals. It helps provide a high-quality choral education and a meaningful experience that allows choristers to grow as musicians, performers, and members of a supportive community.

Your annual registration includes:

Weekly rehearsals with experienced music educators and a professional accompanist.
Participation in three major concerts each season, giving choristers the opportunity to perform for family, friends, and the community.
A digital professional choir photo to commemorate the season.
School tours and community performances, allowing choristers to share their music while building confidence and representing Lyrico throughout the community.
Guest clinicians and special musical opportunities offered throughout the season to enrich the learning experience.

Additional Information

A $20 choir t-shirt deposit is collected when shirts are distributed during the season.
Senior Choir families are asked to provide a $50 music deposit cheque at the beginning of the season.
Payments received after September 30, 2026 may be subject to a $25 late fee.

The Value of a Season

A typical Lyrico season includes approximately 27 rehearsals and 3 major concerts over a ten-month period. When broken down over the course of the season, annual tuition works out to approximately $70 to $75 per month.

For that investment, choristers receive weekly instruction from highly qualified directors, the support of a professional accompanist, opportunities to perform in multiple concerts and community events, and experiences that help them develop confidence, musicianship, teamwork, and lasting friendships.

The Wittenberg Scholarship

The Wittenberg family created this scholarship in honour of their daughter Stephanie who was killed in a tragic car accident. Stephanie was a member of the Lyrico Youth Choirs (formerly Elk Island Regional Honour Choir Association) who loved music and singing. The scholarship is used to fully or partially offset the cost of registration for families who may have difficulty paying. Thank you to the Wittenberg family for sharing Stephanie’s love for music through this annual scholarship in her name.

Payment Plan Terms & Conditions

1. Payment Commitment
To help make choir participation accessible for families, the Board of Directors has created several flexible payment options, including installment plans and early registration discounts for those who register before June 30th.

2. Full Payment Upfront Deadlines
Early payment 5% discount deadline: June 30th 2026

Full payment deadline: September 30th 2026

3. Payment Plans

Payment plans are due on the 15th of each month according to the selected plan.
Payments must be made on time according to the selected schedule
If a payment is missed, the remaining balance may become due in full immediately
Missed payments may result in loss of payment plan privileges for future seasons.
If you anticipate difficulty making a payment, you must contact the Business Manager in advance to request approval. Missed or skipped payments do not cancel the obligation to pay the full balance. Adjustments may result in revised payment amounts or timelines.

4. Credit Card Payments
Credit card payments include a processing fee to offset transaction costs.

The following applies only to credit card transactions:

Payments are set up to be processed automatically on a scheduled date
If a payment fails and is not resolved, the remaining balance may become due in full

5. Other Payment Methods

E-transfers must include the chorister’s name in the message portion
Cheques must be made payable to Lyrico Youth Choirs Association
All payments must be received by their due dates

6. Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued prior to the start of the new season. Pro-rated refunds will be issued up to and including September 30, 2026. All refunds are subject to a $50 administration fee. After September 30, 2026, no refunds will be issued. Due to extenuating circumstances, exceptions are at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

7. Late or Missed Payments
Missed payments may result in:

Immediate requirement to pay the remaining balance in full
Suspension from participation until the account is brought up to date

8. Non-Profit Operations
Lyrico Youth Choirs is a non-profit organization. Fees support program delivery, staffing, and operational costs and are not refundable based on attendance.

9. Administrative Discretion
All financial matters, including refunds or exceptions, are at the discretion of the Business Manager and/or Board of Directors.
