Children and Youth

Because Lyrico primarily serves children and youth, we take particular care with personal information relating to young people.

Information about choristers and prospective choristers is collected only as reasonably necessary to administer auditions, registration, choir participation, rehearsals, performances, events, trips, camps, and related activities.

Where appropriate, information and consent are obtained from a parent or legal guardian. We endeavour to limit the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of children's personal information to what is reasonably necessary for Lyrico's activities.

We do not knowingly sell children's personal information or use information collected directly from choristers for commercial profiling.

Photography, Video and Recordings

Photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media featuring choristers may be created during rehearsals, performances, special events, tours, camps, and other Lyrico activities.

These materials may be used to celebrate and promote Lyrico through our website, social media accounts, YouTube channel, newsletters, printed materials, promotional materials, advertising, and other organizational communications.

Lyrico obtains permission from a parent or legal guardian before using identifiable photographs or recordings of a child for promotional or public-facing purposes. We respect the permissions provided by each family and will not knowingly publish identifiable images or recordings of a chorister where the required permission has not been provided.

Families may contact Lyrico if they have questions or concerns about the use of an image or recording of their child or wish to update their media permissions for future use.

Email and Newsletter Communications

Lyrico uses email to communicate with choir families and other members of our community.

Administrative emails may include information about registration, auditions, rehearsals, performances, fees, payments, events, volunteer activities, or other matters relating to participation in Lyrico.

If you subscribe to our general mailing list, we may also send news, upcoming event information, program announcements, fundraising information, and other Lyrico updates. We currently use Brevo to help manage newsletter subscriptions and distribute these communications.

You may unsubscribe from promotional or newsletter communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.

Unsubscribing from a general newsletter does not prevent Lyrico from sending necessary administrative communications relating to a chorister's registration or participation in the organization.

Payments and Donations

Lyrico uses Square to process certain payments, donations, and financial transactions.

When you make a payment or donation using Square, payment information is processed by Square in accordance with its own privacy and security practices. Lyrico may receive transaction information such as your name, contact information, amount paid or donated, transaction status, and information required for our financial and administrative records.

Lyrico does not intentionally collect or store complete credit or debit card information on its own website.
